Our focus is to create connections for our staff through impactful collaboration leading to improved learning experiences for students. This year, we have focused on forming a core group of teachers dedicated to cultivating a school-wide culture of learning by integrating literacy and numeracy across all subject areas. Our goal is to build teacher capacity, fostering professional growth and confidence to engage with literacy and numeracy in meaningful ways. This involves exploring connections between areas of learning and reframing literacy and numeracy as collective responsibilities rather than tasks confined to English Language Arts or Mathematics. By encouraging interdisciplinary approaches, we aim to help teachers and students see how these skills can enhance learning in diverse contexts.
