The Steveston High School Alumni Association was formed in 1987, by members of the graduating class of 1962 at their 25 year reunion. It was also the first public high school alumni association in Canada and was initiated by a group of former students who were interested in giving back to their school. Over the years, the Alumni has raised funds, given scholarships to current students, hosted special events, offered mentoring programs and purchased new equipment for the school. In 2008, members of the original association met with some former London grads and the Steveston-London Secondary School Alumni Association was officially formed. The group is open to any graduate of Steveston High, London Secondary or Steveston-London Secondary School and our mission remains the same - to look for ways to support and give back to the school; to help current students and staff reach their goals; and to keep interested alumni informed and connected, to each other and to the school. Representatives of our group attend the valedictory ceremony each year and we continue to give out scholarships.
Steveston-London proudly displays all of the former Steveston Packers (1961-2007), London Legends (1997-2007) and Steveston-London Sharks (2008 onward) composite graduation photos and the school has done an excellent job honouring the great traditions of the past while looking forward and creating an even better school for the students of today. All SHS, LSS and SLSS alumni are welcomed and encouraged to stay connected - attend our Annual General Meeting held at the school each January.
