Thank you for waiting while we further analyzed the ticket requests and available tickets at the Chan Centre.

We continue to be thankful that Ms. Campbell & Mr. Nashlund are so organized and dedicated to making this process work in a equitable way. Commencement at UBC Chan Centre on Saturday, June 21st at 1pm.

NOTE: UBC counts every human as a ticket to satisfy fire codes, i.e. no infant/child on a lap to save a ticket sale.

Similar to last year, it is still clear that after the survey was complete (and defaulting to 2 free tickets to anyone who did not complete the survey), that many families will not receive their desired number of tickets. Some families requested 5, 7, 10, and more tickets.

All "rounds" will be during PLT (8:30am-10:10am on Wednesdays and Thursdays) so class time is not missed by students waiting in line.

• Tickets must be purchased with cash or cheque (to SLSS) in Ms. Campbell's BA Office (400-wing).
• Round 1 is UP-TO-TWO guaranteed guest tickets per student BASED on the desired number of tickets submitted to the MS Form survey (AND all students/families who did not respond to the survey).
  • Round 1 tickets must be bought with cash during PLT on May 7th or May 8th.
• Round 2 will depend on analysis after Round 1 is complete.
• Round 3, if happening, will depend on analysis after Round 2 is complete. We may need to do a lottery for a very small number of remaining tickets as our numbers are similar to 2024.

All of this is done with the goal of equity.

EMAIL to students and parents/guardians will be the method of communication for this whole process, so please check your email regularly.
