Volunteer/ Work Opportunities
Finding a volunteer position or job is an ideal way to build life skills, discover the kinds of careers or work environments you might enjoy later in life, and fulfill your graduation requirements. You require a minimum of 30 hours volunteer or paid work to satisfy your Gade 12 graduation requirements. These requirements begin in the summer following completion of Grade 10. Any volunteering you have done prior to this time will not be considered for your graduation requirements, but in many cases is still valid for university applications.
SLSS EVENT: Richmond Cares Richmond Gives – Monday, September 23/24 starting at 12:50 in Room 103. Come learn about the different volunteer options available to you and how you can give back to your community!
Below is a list of resources you can explore to find volunteer or paid opportunities in your community. I urge you to ask around in your community, as this is by no means a comprehensive list of what is available.
