  • Future studies (potential fields of interest)
  • (200 words max for each) Community Involvement, Academic Achievement.
  • (200 words max for each) Hobbies and Interests, School Involvement.
  • (200 words max for each) Employment History, Additional Information.
  • Confidential self-identification for financial hardship.

District Authority Scholarships Information

Criteria determined by the student’s local scholarship committee (as per the Ministry of Education).

Application must be by student nomination, but must be done via the SLSS Scholarship Application (above):

Evidence must be provided via a short video (link provided), statement, and/or photos.

  • (APLSK) Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies (SLSS: Business, Technology/Media Arts, Home Economics - Textiles)
  • (FINE) Fine Arts (SLSS: Drama, Music, Visual Arts)
  • (LNG) Languages from the Languages Curriculum, demonstrated at school
  • (TRADES) Technical and Trades Training (SLSS: Coding, Culinary Arts, Mechanics/Woodwork)
  • (INDLC) Indigenous Languages and Culture, demonstrated at school or in the community
  • (PHYSAC) Physical Activity (and Health) (SLSS: Athletics, Dance)
  • (COMSERV) Community Service (Volunteer Activity), which includes awareness of local, global, and cultural issues

External Scholarship Application Information:

  • For any external scholarships that require school approval/endorsement, please submit information before the published deadline.
