Our school will host Remembrance Day Ceremonies on Tuesday, November 10.  Our Remembrance Day assemblies are always classy, dignified and student-led opportunities for our whole school community to take a moment to reflect.  At SLSS, we encourage students and staff to "dress their best" on this day as a gesture of respect for the sacrifices of millions of Canadians, to honour those who gave their lives for Canada and for those who continue to serve.  Students will receive a poppy on this day and are asked to give a small donation if they are able.  Donations will be actively accepted during our Poppy Fund Campaign via School Cash Online.  All funds collected go to assisting veterans and their families when they are in need - read more at: https://www.legionbcyukon.ca/content/legions-poppy-funds
