Clubs & Activities

We encourage every student to get positively connected at school, outside of class.  We have offered over 30 clubs and activities ranging from anime, art, ceramics, dance, engineering, intramural games, Japanese exchange, math,  school newspaper, volunteer groups, weight training to yearbook and every opportunity is open and available to all students.  This year, there will be a virtual Clubs Day to provide information to students about which clubs are available.  For the 2021-2022 school year, here are the clubs that are available (see below).  You will also find attached a Clubs brochure that was created by the SLSS Press.  This includes the description of the different clubs that you can join.  All students are encouraged to meet with the sponsor teacher to find out more information about meeting dates and times.

Every club is an opportunity to meet like-minded, friendly students and staff members and make a positive difference in your life and the lives of others.  It is the friendships and stories created from participation in clubs, activities, field trips and special events that will make up your happiest and best memories of high school.  Involvement in clubs, extracurricular events and volunteer service are also a very important way for students to build their resume and this will help with future job, scholarship and post-secondary applications.
